35th Anniversary Videos

Every year for the last five years, we’ve had the absolute honor of creating content for the Women’s Refugee Commission to highlight the life-saving, ground-breaking work that they do to make the world a better, safer place for displaced women and girls. To celebrate their 35th year, we not only created their annual fundraising video, we had the opportunity to share the activism of two incredible people in Nepal and Sudan.

Deepti Gurung is a Nepalese activist and advocate for the rights of women to pass on their nationality and for the rights of stateless individuals around the world. Rowida Tariq Elshafee is a dedicated humanitarian from Sudan who chose to remain in Sudan when the war forced the rest of her family to flee to Egypt. She continues her work providing education and psychosocial support to more than 10,000 displaced children and training more than 400 teachers.

These inspiring stories were screened at WRC’s annual fundraising event and we are forever grateful for the opportunity to work with them.
