Anthem 2024
If you are a New Yorker, you have most likely benefited from Greenwich House. You may not have taken a music or pottery class or received a free meal, but their 120 years of making the city a better place to live extends to all our neighbors. Cowboy Bear Ninja loves Greenwich House and we have worked with them many times over the past couple years. These are always non-profit budget projects, where we do the most we can with limited resources: tiny crews and creative, collaborative production is the name of the game.
This year, Greenwich House had less money to put toward their annual fundraising gala videos and they thought we might turn them down. Instead, we proposed a combination of using footage from previous years—including clips we hadn’t seen before (we tend to overshoot!)—and archival footage from their own stash. We also wrote the script and put a rough cut together so we were really clear on what we needed to focus on during our shoot days. We were a little concerned that we might not have enough to work with, but because of the all-hands-on-deck collaboration with our client and crew, we ended up making maybe our favorite Greenwich House piece thus far!
We are thrilled that Greenwich House invited us to tell their incredible story of providing so many vital services across the spectrum of human needs. We’re really proud of this one. Enjoy!
